"If we had stronger faith, we would have conceived by now."
How it sounds in your head: You see those testimonies—'we prayed and God gave us a baby.' So why not you? You're praying too. Reading the promises too. Going to the prayer meetings. Maybe your faith isn't strong enough. Maybe you're not believing hard enough. Maybe doubt is blocking the miracle.
"Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, 'Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!'"
-- Mark 9:24Religion making conception depend on quality of faith rather than finished work of Christ, turning blessing into achievement and healing into performance.
Jesus talked about faith moving mountains and said 'according to your faith be it unto you.' The logical conclusion seems to be: no conception = insufficient faith. Other people's faith produced results; yours hasn't. The math feels simple.
Thomas famously doubted the resurrection, demanding physical proof: 'Unless I see the nail marks and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.' Jesus didn't rebuke him or withhold blessing—He appeared, invited Thomas to touch, and Thomas believed. Doubt didn't disqualify him from encounter.
I REFUSE the lie that conception depends on the strength of my faith. IT IS WRITTEN that a father with weak, doubting faith received healing for his son immediately when he cried 'help my unbelief.' My blessing flows from COVENANT, not from quality of my belief. I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing operated even when Abraham LIED—twice. IT IS WRITTEN in Ephesians 2:8-9 that salvation is by grace through faith, and it's not of ourselves, it's the GIFT of God. My fertility is GIFT, not achievement. My Father doesn't measure my faith-performance; He runs toward me with blessing I don't deserve, provision I didn't earn, and conception that comes from His nature, not my mental effort.
Your Father isn't grading your faith on a scale before releasing conception—He's responding to connection, not perfection. While you're worried your belief isn't strong enough, He's already moving toward you with the answer, the same way He gave Thomas the encounter despite the doubt.
