"If people knew what I think about, they'd be disgusted by me."
How it sounds in your head: Puberty is hitting and your thoughts are going places that feel shameful. You're curious about things you're afraid to mention. You think if your parents, your pastor, or God could hear your actual thoughts, they'd reject you immediately.
"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
-- Romans 8:38-39Religious spirit twisting natural development into evidence of moral contamination, weaponizing shame.
Your thoughts ARE changing—that's biological fact. The shame feels like confirmation that you're becoming someone disgusting. Church messages about 'purity' make you feel like you're already failing.
Judah slept with who he thought was a prostitute—turned out to be his daughter-in-law Tamar. Scandalous sexual failure. Yet God put him in the MESSIANIC LINE—Jesus is called 'Lion of the tribe of JUDAH.' God didn't erase him; He elevated him.
I REFUSE the lie that my thoughts disqualify me from love. IT IS WRITTEN that NOTHING—not thoughts, not temptation, not curiosity—can separate me from God's love in Christ Jesus. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:1 that there is NO condemnation for me. I am righteous by GIFT, not by thought-management. The BARAK blessing covered Jacob even when he was deceiving his father. God's love isn't conditional on my brain being pure. My Father isn't disgusted—He's running toward me with the robe while I still smell like shame. I am His beloved son RIGHT NOW.
The Father sees the shame you're carrying about your changing body and thoughts, and He's not backing away in horror—He's moving CLOSER. He designed you, puberty and all, and He's not waiting for you to 'get it together.' He's proud of you TODAY.
