"If money comes too easily, God will take it away or something bad will happen."
How it sounds in your head: You're afraid that if something good happens financially, it won't last or it's too good to be true. Like the other shoe is always about to drop. You feel safer staying small.
"For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable."
-- Romans 11:29Trauma from past losses and disappointments; religious teaching that God tests you by taking things away.
You've seen adults get a little ahead and then lose it all. You've been disappointed before and learned not to get your hopes up. Expecting the worst feels like protecting yourself.
Isaac planted in a time of famine and reaped a hundredfold the same year—the Lord blessed him and he became very prosperous, continuing to prosper until he was extremely wealthy. Fast increase, sustained blessing, no loss.
I REFUSE the lie that sudden blessing won't last or God will take it away. IT IS WRITTEN that the gifts and calling of God are IRREVOCABLE—He doesn't take back what He gives. The BARAK blessing on me is by COVENANT through Jesus' blood, not by my performance, so it cannot be revoked by my mistakes. IT IS WRITTEN that every good gift comes from the Father who does NOT change. I reject the spirit of fear that says the other shoe will drop. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and my Father is not a bait-and-switch God. What He gives, He sustains.
Your Father isn't setting you up for disappointment. He's not dangling blessings just to yank them back. He's the Father in the prodigal story who gave EVERYTHING—robe, ring, sandals, party—with zero threat of taking it back.
