"If I'm struggling financially, it's because I don't have enough faith or I'm doing something wrong."
How it sounds in your head: I pray for provision, but nothing changes. Maybe I'm not praying right or I have hidden sin blocking my breakthrough. If I had more faith, wouldn't God provide? What am I doing wrong?
"He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"
-- Romans 8:32Source: Religion making provision contingent on performance, teaching that lack equals spiritual failure.
She sees others blessed and wonders why she's not, assuming it must be HER fault. Church culture often implies that financial struggle means you're missing something spiritually.
A widow was drowning in debt, about to lose her sons to creditors. She didn't have great faith—she had desperation. Elisha told her to pour oil, and it multiplied until EVERY debt was PAID with surplus left over—one afternoon, total turnaround.
I REFUSE the lie that my financial struggle means I lack faith or I'm doing something wrong. IT IS WRITTEN that He who gave me JESUS will FREELY give me ALL THINGS. My provision is based on HIS FAITHFULNESS, not mine. I am the righteousness of God in Christ—2 Corinthians 5:21. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, and the Lord commands blessing on my storehouses—Deuteronomy 28:6-8. The BARAK rests on me by COVENANT. Breakthrough is already mine; I receive it NOW by grace.
The Father isn't waiting for you to pray harder or figure out what's blocking you. He's running toward you with provision RIGHT NOW, regardless of how long you've struggled—just like the prodigal, the turnaround is INSTANT.
