"If I was supposed to have that opportunity, God wouldn't have let me miss it."
How it sounds in your head: The door closed. The chance passed. I'm too old to get another opportunity like that. Maybe God was saying no all along, and I was just stubborn about seeing it.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."
-- Joel 2:25Religion taught her that closed doors are always God's final answer and that missed opportunities can never be redeemed.
She's experienced real loss of timing—a job, a relationship, a chance that legitimately passed—and it feels like trying to resurrect something dead. Her age makes 'next time' feel impossible.
Abraham received God's promise at age 75 and waited 25 YEARS—a quarter century of closed doors, failed attempts, and impossible circumstances. At 100 years old, the promise manifested: Isaac was born, and everything God said came to pass despite decades of delay.
I REFUSE the lie that closed doors mean God's final no. IT IS WRITTEN that He restores the YEARS the locust has eaten—not just some things, but YEARS. I am not too old, too late, or past my expiration date. IT IS WRITTEN that He does exceedingly abundantly above all I ask or think according to the power that works in me. What I thought I missed is being restored, redeemed, and multiplied. God wastes NOTHING—every delay is a setup for greater glory. I stand on covenant promise: He finishes what He starts, and He started this dream in me.
The Father isn't angry that you 'missed' something—He's already preparing the RESTORED version that will be so much better you'll thank Him for the closed door. He's running toward you with the double portion for your years of waiting, the ring of authority for the season you thought was lost.
