"God is slow to answer because I haven't prayed enough or fasted enough."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe if I prayed an hour every morning instead of fifteen minutes, God would move. Maybe I need to fast more, read more, worship longer. Other people get breakthroughs because they're more committed. I'm just not spiritual enough.
"Your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him."
-- Matthew 6:8Religion turned relationship into transaction, making God's response contingent on human performance instead of Christ's finished work.
She hears testimonies of people who fasted 40 days and got breakthrough, making her 3-day fast feel insufficient. Performance-based churches reward the most 'devoted,' making devotion feel like currency.
He was a criminal being executed, had zero time to prove himself, couldn't do good works, couldn't fast or read Scripture. He just said, 'Jesus, remember me,' and THAT MOMENT received salvation and Paradise—no altar call, no baptism, no process.
I REFUSE the lie that God's response depends on my prayer time or fasting schedule. IT IS WRITTEN: my Father knows what I need before I ask. I don't earn His attention—I already HAVE it because I'm His child. IT IS WRITTEN that we are saved by GRACE through faith, not of works. The thief on the cross got instant Paradise with zero performance. I am the righteousness of God IN CHRIST, not through effort. My prayers are heard because of JESUS, not my consistency.
Your Father isn't keeping score of your prayer minutes—He's already running toward you with the answer while you're still forming the question. You have access because of the BLOOD, not your behavior.
