"If I really had authority, I wouldn't still be struggling with these attacks."
How it sounds in your head: If I truly had power over the enemy, this anxiety would be gone by now. The fact that I'm still dealing with oppression means I must not really have authority. Maybe it works for others but not for me. My ongoing struggles prove I'm powerless.
"Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."
-- Ephesians 6:13Source: Enemy reinterpreted the reality of ongoing battle as proof of your powerlessness instead of proof that you're a threat.
You speak against fear and it comes back the next day. Others share victory stories while you're still in the trenches. Your continued struggle feels like evidence that your authority is fake or broken.
Paul had a 'messenger of Satan' buffeting him—ONGOING attack even as an apostle with massive authority. God's response wasn't removal; it was 'My grace is sufficient.' Attacks don't negate authority; they reveal who you are in the fight.
I REFUSE the lie that my struggles mean I lack authority. IT IS WRITTEN that I am to STAND, and having done all, to STAND—the fact that I'm still standing IS the victory. IT IS WRITTEN that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came to give me LIFE. The battle doesn't mean I'm losing; it means I'm a THREAT. The BARAK blessing didn't make enemies disappear; it made enemies DEFEATED. I don't need the attacks to stop to prove my authority—I need to keep STANDING, which I am. My endurance is not weakness; it's POWER perfected. I am VICTORIOUS even in battle.
The Father isn't confused about why you're still struggling. He's holding you up in the middle of the battle, reminding you that STANDING when hell is raging is the greatest display of authority there is.
