"If I prosper, people will judge me and think I'm fake or compromised."
How it sounds in your head: I see the Instagram comments when someone blessed shares it—'Must be nice.' 'Prosperity gospel.' 'Sold out.' I'm terrified that if I succeed financially, people will assume I compromised, faked it, or abandoned real faith. So I stay small to stay 'authentic.'
"The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it."
-- Proverbs 10:22Source: enemy. Fear of man and religious judgment that persecutes blessing and labels prosperity as compromise.
You've watched blessed people get crucified online. Church culture is SUSPICIOUS of anyone thriving financially. Broke and humble is 'real.' Blessed and prospering is 'suspicious.' So you choose obscurity over judgment.
Daniel prospered so much he was about to be set over the whole kingdom. His enemies SEARCHED for a charge against him and 'could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful.' They judged him anyway. He kept prospering.
I REFUSE the lie that prosperity invites judgment I must avoid. IT IS WRITTEN that the blessing of the Lord makes rich and adds NO SORROW—other people's opinions are not sorrow, they're noise. I am Abraham's seed, walking in the BARAK blessing that PROTECTED liars, deceivers, and murderers. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out. If people judge my blessing, that's between them and God. Daniel prospered and his enemies plotted—but God shut the lions' mouths. I will not shrink to avoid judgment from people who don't understand covenant. The Father threw a PARTY when the prodigal returned—He's not embarrassed of celebrating blessing. I walk in provision, favor, and abundance because I'm a SON, not because I'm fake. God defends me.
The Father isn't worried about what people think of your blessing—He threw a public PARTY for the prodigal, invited everyone, and didn't care that the older brother judged. He's celebrating you NOW, and the judgment of spectators doesn't change His delight.
