"If I need less, I'll be loved more. My needs, emotions, problems push people away."
How it sounds in your head: I've learned to say 'I'm fine' when I'm drowning. I cry alone because vulnerability scares people off. My ex said I was needy. My friends get tired of my struggles. If I could just need nothing, maybe someone would stay.
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
-- Matthew 11:28Enemy + religion: You've been taught that godly women are low-maintenance, that having needs is weakness or manipulation, that strength is independence.
People have literally called you needy, high-maintenance, exhausting. You've watched self-sufficient women get respect while your vulnerability got you labeled 'too much.' Silence felt safer than honesty.
A widow down to her LAST MEAL—one handful of flour, one drop of oil, planning to eat and die with her son. Elijah showed up and asked her for food FIRST. She gave from NOTHING. God didn't wait for her to get stable. He multiplied her provision INSTANTLY, supernaturally, and it never ran out the entire famine.
I REFUSE the lie that I must need less to be loved more. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus invites me to come HEAVY LADEN, that my needs are not a burden but an invitation to rest. I was created for DEPENDENCE, not independence—branches don't apologize for needing the Vine. IT IS WRITTEN in John 15:5 apart from Him I can do NOTHING, and that's not failure, that's FREEDOM. The BARAK blessing over me says God COMMANDS blessing on my storehouses, PROVIDES for me by covenant not by my ability to manage alone.
The Father doesn't love you more when you pretend you're fine. He celebrates when you come to Him empty, broken, honest. He's not waiting for you to pull yourself together. He's inviting you to fall APART in His arms.
