"If I had been a better spiritual example, my daughter wouldn't have walked away."
How it sounds in your head: She saw my hypocrisy. The times I said one thing and did another. If I had actually lived what I preached, she'd still be here. My inconsistency drove her away from God.
"If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself."
-- 2 Timothy 2:13Performance-based Christianity suggesting children's faith depends on parents' perfect consistency.
You remember specific moments of failure she witnessed—your anger, your shortcuts, the gap between Sunday you and weekday you. Her rejection of faith feels like rejection of your inconsistent example.
Denied Jesus three times with cursing after walking with Him for three years, seeing miracles firsthand. Jesus restored him instantly and made him the foundation of the church—imperfect witnesses still used powerfully.
I REFUSE the lie that my imperfection drove my daughter from God. IT IS WRITTEN in 2 Timothy 2:13 that He remains faithful even when I'm faithless. Peter denied Jesus and became the rock. IT IS WRITTEN that the Holy Spirit draws people to God, not perfect parenting. I stand on the BARAK blessing—Abraham lied about his wife twice and God still blessed him. My daughter's faith journey is between her and the Father. I declare every Scripture I spoke over her is ACTIVE and working, regardless of my inconsistencies.
The Father isn't requiring your perfection before He pursues your daughter. He's using your very humanity to show her that relationship with Him isn't about performance—and that revelation will bring her running home.
