"If I die while under this oppression, I'll lose my salvation or go to hell."

How it sounds in your head: What if I die in the middle of one of these attacks? What if my last thought is a blasphemy I couldn't control? What if the confusion or the dark thoughts are what I'm experiencing when I take my last breath? Will God reject me because I died 'oppressed'?

John 10:28-29

"And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand."

-- John 10:28-29
Enemy whispers: 'If you die during an attack or with a blasphemous thought, you'll lose your salvation.' BUT IT IS WRITTEN: John 10:28-29—Jesus gives ETERNAL life, and you shall NEVER perish. Not 'never perish unless you die during confusion.' NEVER. NO ONE can snatch you from His hand—not a demon, not an intrusive thought, not your final mental state. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers...shall be able to separate us from the love of God' (Rom 8:38-39). Your LAST THOUGHT doesn't determine your eternity—JESUS' FINISHED WORK does.
Quick Truth: LIE: Dying during oppression costs salvation. TRUTH: NO ONE can snatch you from His hand—not even death itself. John 10:28

Enemy using fear of death to create works-based salvation requiring perfect mental state at moment of death rather than resting in Christ's finished work.

Why this feels true:

Religious teaching about 'dying in sin' creates fear that your final moment determines eternity. The unpredictability of mental symptoms makes you fear dying during a 'bad moment.'

Acts 7:54-60
Stephen Being Stoned

Stephen died being MURDERED by a mob—violent, traumatic, stones crushing his skull, intense physical trauma and likely mental shock. His last moment was CHAOS. Yet he saw heaven OPEN and Jesus standing to receive him. His traumatic death didn't affect his destination.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that my mental state at death determines my eternity. IT IS WRITTEN: Jesus gives me ETERNAL life and I shall NEVER perish—not 'never unless I die confused.' NEVER. NO ONE can snatch me from His hand—not a demon, not confusion, not an intrusive thought, not death itself. IT IS WRITTEN: Neither death nor life nor any power can separate me from God's love. My salvation rests on JESUS' FINISHED WORK, not my final thought. I am under the BARAK covenant—blessing by PROMISE, not performance. Stephen died in CHAOS and saw heaven OPEN. My last moment doesn't change what Jesus FINISHED at the cross. I am SECURE.

But God actually:

The Father doesn't have you gripping His hand with white knuckles hoping you can hold on until your last breath—HE'S gripping YOU, and His grip doesn't weaken when your mind does. Your final thought isn't your ticket; Jesus' blood is, and it was applied 2,000 years ago.
