"If healing was for today, everyone would be healed and hospitals would be empty."
How it sounds in your head: You think about sick Christians you know and wonder why they aren't healed if God still heals. If healing was really available, no believer would die of cancer. The existence of sick Christians seems to disprove modern healing.
"Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief."
-- Matthew 13:58Source: All-or-nothing thinking that rejects partial truth because it doesn't manifest universally yet
You know godly people who died of disease. If healing was truly available through faith, that wouldn't happen. The gap between promise and reality makes the whole thing feel like a lie.
Naaman had leprosy—incurable, terminal—and initially REFUSED the simple instruction to dip seven times in the Jordan, nearly missing his healing because of pride and unbelief. When he finally obeyed, his flesh was INSTANTLY restored like a child's—healing was available the whole time, but reception required faith-action.
I REFUSE the lie that partial manifestation disproves the promise. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus didn't do many mighty works in some places because of UNBELIEF—not because healing wasn't available. I don't let others' unbelief or incomplete manifestation steal MY faith. The BARAK blessing protected even MURDERERS like Jacob's sons—it's not based on perfect performance but COVENANT. IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I WAS healed—past tense, finished work. I receive MY healing regardless of who else does or doesn't.
The Father is running toward you with healing in His hands, not waiting for you to figure out why someone else didn't receive. He's prepared YOUR breakthrough—the ring, the robe, the fattened calf—because He's extravagantly generous with YOU personally, not rationing based on statistics.
