"If God wanted me to give, He would give me more money first."
How it sounds in your head: This feels like a test you can't pass. If God wanted you to be generous, He'd provide more so giving would be easy. Since you don't have much, maybe He doesn't expect it from you right now.
"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."
-- Luke 6:38Enemy: Reversing the order of Kingdom economics—waiting for provision before obedience instead of obedience releasing provision.
It seems logical that God would supply FIRST if He wanted you to give. Asking you to give when you're broke feels like a setup for failure. If He really wanted your generosity, wouldn't He make it possible?
Peter didn't have the tax money he owed. Jesus didn't hand him cash first—He told him to go fishing, and the first fish had the exact coin needed in its mouth. Obedience came before provision, and provision met him in the act.
I REFUSE the lie that God would give me more first if He wanted me to give. IT IS WRITTEN: give, and it will be given—the order is give FIRST. Kingdom economics are backwards from world economics: I sow before I harvest. God supplies seed to the SOWER, not the hoarder. IT IS WRITTEN that with the measure I use, it's measured back to me. The BARAK blessing doesn't wait for my abundance; it responds to my obedience. When I give what I have, God multiplies it—like the boy's lunch, the widow's oil. I don't wait for more to give; I give and watch more come. I'm not under law but under grace, and grace means God's supply flows TO me, not FROM me. My Father runs toward obedience, not hesitation.
Your Father isn't withholding until you prove yourself—He's waiting for you to step into the flow. The moment you give what's in your hand, you signal to Heaven that you're ready to partner, and THAT'S when He starts moving mountains you didn't even know were blocking your path. He doesn't fund spectators; He partners with participants, and your first small gift is your entry into miracles.
