"I wasted years being angry or bitter and damaged relationships that can't be fixed."
How it sounds in your head: My fifties should be about connection but I spent years resentful, defensive, holding grudges. I pushed people away or stayed in toxic patterns. Now those relationships are broken and those years of anger just poisoned everything.
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh."

Some people did leave and won't come back. The years of conflict left scars. She can see the damage her bitterness caused and it feels irreversible.
He spent YEARS in rebellion, bitterness toward his father, wasting his inheritance on prostitutes, feeding pigs. The moment he turned toward home, the Father RAN to him, embraced him while he still smelled like pigs, restored FULL sonship instantly—from pig pen to party in minutes, years of bitterness erased.
I REFUSE the lie that years of bitterness permanently damaged me or my relationships. IT IS WRITTEN God gives me a NEW HEART and a new spirit—not repairs the old, gives me NEW. IT IS WRITTEN there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus—my past anger is covered by the blood. IT IS WRITTEN that love covers a multitude of sins, and God's love is covering mine NOW. What I broke in bitterness, God is restoring in grace. Relationships I thought dead are coming back to life. The BARAK blessing includes favor and reconciliation beyond what I deserve.
The Father is saying, 'Beloved, I'm not holding your bitter years against you—I'm giving you a heart transplant and fresh starts you didn't earn.' Restoration is happening NOW, not after a probation period.
