"I wasted my physical health in my teens and twenties partying and now I'm paying for it"
How it sounds in your head: All the drinking, drugs, junk food, lack of sleep—it adds up and I can't undo the damage. My body remembers every stupid choice and I'll pay for those years the rest of my life with consequences.
"Thus says the Lord God to these bones: 'Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.'"
-- Ezekiel 37:5Medical worldview that body damage is cumulative and irreversible, teaching you'll always pay for youthful abuse
He feels the hangovers last longer, recovery is harder, and doctors warn about cumulative damage. The cause-and-effect between abuse and consequences seems medically certain.
A woman bled for TWELVE YEARS, spent all her money on doctors who made her WORSE. The damage was cumulative, chronic, medically hopeless. One touch of Jesus' garment and she was IMMEDIATELY healed—not gradually, IMMEDIATELY. Twelve years undone in one moment.
I REFUSE the lie that my body is permanently damaged by past abuse or that I'll pay for youthful mistakes forever. IT IS WRITTEN: by His stripes I WAS healed—past tense, finished work. Jesus bore my sicknesses and carried my pains on the cross. Every consequence of past abuse was PAID FOR. IT IS WRITTEN: if anyone is in Christ, old things PASSED AWAY. My body isn't defined by what I did to it at 19. The same God who spoke life into DRY BONES speaks life into my cells, organs, tissues RIGHT NOW. The BARAK blessing includes being blessed in my BODY.
The Father doesn't see you paying for youthful abuse—He sees the Prodigal who smells like pig pens receiving IMMEDIATE restoration with no health consequences hanging over him. The past doesn't determine your body's future.
