"I wasn't enough for my husband, my kids, or my calling—I've spent my whole life falling short."
How it sounds in your head: You look back at decades of motherhood, marriage, ministry—and all you see are the gaps. The meals that weren't Pinterest-perfect. The daughter who walked away from church. The body that betrayed you. The promotion you never got. The friendships that faded. You gave everything and it still wasn't enough.
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
-- 2 Corinthians 12:9Religion taught you God grades on performance; the enemy weaponized every perceived failure into proof of inadequacy.
You have sixty years of 'evidence'—every mistake catalogued, every regret amplified by aging. Your body reminds you daily that you're 'less than' you were, and the world worships what you no longer have.
Unloved, rejected by her husband Jacob who wanted Rachel—felt deeply 'not enough.' God saw her affliction, opened her womb, and made her mother of JUDAH—the Messianic line came through the 'not enough' wife, not the favored one.
I REFUSE the lie that sixty years of perceived failures disqualify me from God's blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that His grace is SUFFICIENT and His strength is made PERFECT in my weakness. I was never called to be enough in myself—I was called to be a BRANCH attached to the Vine. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:29 that I am Abraham's seed and heir according to PROMISE, not performance. The BARAK blessing flows through me by COVENANT, not competence. I declare that what the Father sees when He looks at me is not my resume but His Son's righteousness—and in that, I am完 (complete), lacking NOTHING.
The Father has been running toward you through every decade, every disappointment—He never waited for you to 'be enough.' He sees you clothed in Christ's righteousness, and in His eyes, you are the BELOVED daughter at whom He is well-pleased.
