"I don't have enough energy, strength, or capacity to handle everything on my plate."
How it sounds in your head: You wake up already tired. Aging parents need you. Work demands haven't decreased. Your body doesn't recover like it used to. You're running on fumes and everyone still wants more. You simply don't have what it takes to keep all these plates spinning.
"He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength."
-- Isaiah 40:29Source: Enemy stealing peace through impossible demands, amplified by culture that celebrates burnout as badge of honor.
Your body physically feels depleted. The to-do list is objectively longer than your available hours. Sleep doesn't refresh you anymore. You're measuring your actual energy against actual demands and the math doesn't work.
Elijah was SO depleted he asked God to let him die, then fell asleep under a tree. An angel woke him with food, he ate and slept again, ate again—then on the strength of THOSE TWO MEALS he traveled forty days and nights to Horeb. Supernatural strength replaced natural depletion INSTANTLY.
I REFUSE the lie that I must operate from my own depleted reserves. IT IS WRITTEN that God GIVES power to the weak and INCREASES strength to those who have no might—I qualify because I'm weak, not disqualified. I am a branch connected to the infinite Vine—the sap that produces fruit flows FROM HIM, not from my energy management. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 4:13 that I can do ALL THINGS through Christ who STRENGTHENS me—not 'some things' or 'what I can handle.' ALL THINGS. I am an heir of Abraham's blessing, and the BARAK includes strength for every assignment. The Father isn't measuring my capacity—He's SUPPLYING His own.
The Father sees your depletion and He's not adding more demands—He's RUNNING toward you with the fattened calf, insisting you sit and feast while HE provides. Like Elijah under the tree, He meets exhaustion with SUPPLY, not with lectures about better time management.
