"I was supposed to be someone else; my parents wanted a different child than who I am."
How it sounds in your head: They wanted a boy and got you. They wanted healthy and got disabled. They wanted easy and got complicated. You've seen the disappointment in their eyes—you're not what they ordered. You're the wrong answer to their prayer.
"Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them."
-- Psalm 139:16Source: Enemy using parental disappointment or stated preferences to convince her she's the wrong version of herself, a divine mix-up.
She's heard it explicitly or felt it implicitly—she wasn't what they hoped for. Different gender, different abilities, different temperament. She feels like the consolation prize, not the victory.
Leah was the unwanted wife, the one Jacob didn't choose—he wanted Rachel. God saw Leah was unloved and opened her womb while Rachel stayed barren. From unloved, unwanted Leah came Judah, the Messianic line—the 'wrong' wife became the RIGHT lineage for Jesus.
I REFUSE the lie that I was supposed to be someone else or that I'm the wrong version. IT IS WRITTEN that God saw my unformed substance and wrote ALL my days in His book—I am not a mistake or a mix-up. I am the EXACT person Heaven designed. My parents may have wanted different, but God wanted ME. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 43:1 'I have called you by name; you are Mine'—not by someone else's name, by MINE. I am not the consolation prize; I am the CHOSEN one. From the unloved comes the Messianic line. I carry the barak blessing exactly as I am.
The Father didn't look at you and wish you were different—He looked at you and said 'MINE, exactly as designed.' While others wanted a different version, He wanted THIS you, crown ready.
