"I was into astrology and horoscopes for decades—I trusted the stars instead of God."
How it sounds in your head: I made life decisions based on horoscopes. I consulted the zodiac before I consulted God. For years, I gave authority to creation instead of the Creator. That kind of idolatry leaves marks.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."
-- Joel 2:25Source: enemy - Accusation that long-term idolatry creates permanent spiritual deficiency.
The duration of involvement feels significant. Decades of looking to stars instead of God feels like deep-rooted idolatry that can't just disappear.
The Magi were astrologers from the East who studied stars and practiced divination their entire lives. God used their very practice to lead them to Jesus, and they were honored as the first Gentiles to worship Him—INSTANT acceptance with no condemnation for their astrological background.
I REFUSE the lie that decades of astrology left me spiritually deficient. IT IS WRITTEN that God restores the years the locust has eaten. Every year I consulted horoscopes instead of Him is redeemed. I am not marked by idolatry—I am marked with the seal of the Holy Spirit. IT IS WRITTEN that He who began a good work in me will complete it. My past with the zodiac doesn't define me—Christ's righteousness defines me. I am blessed with the BARAK blessing that covered idolaters and covenant-breakers.
The Father doesn't see you as someone who wasted decades. He sees you like the Magi—welcomed, honored, with your entire past redeemed and restored without condemnation.
