"I was an accident—my parents didn't plan me or want me."
How it sounds in your head: Mother said I 'just happened' when they were struggling. Dad never bonded with me like my siblings. I've felt like an inconvenience my whole life, and now in my eighties, I wonder if God even meant for me to be born.
"Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them."
-- Psalm 139:16Enemy assignment from conception, reinforced by careless parental words and comparison to siblings.
Eight decades of feeling like the 'extra' child, combined with memory of parental stress around her birth. Unplanned pregnancies in her generation carried shame, and she internalized being the 'mistake.'
Born from human scheming, rejected by Abraham, cast out to die in wilderness with his mother. God HEARD the boy, opened Hagar's eyes to water, and declared 'I will make him a great nation'—instant provision and purpose for the 'unwanted' son.
I REFUSE the lie that I am an accident or mistake. IT IS WRITTEN that God's eyes saw my unformed substance and wrote ALL my days before one of them existed. My parents' planning is irrelevant—my Father's planning is PERFECT. IT IS WRITTEN that He knew me before I was in my mother's womb. I am Abraham's seed through Christ, and the BARAK blessing covers me—not because I was wanted by humans, but because I was CHOSEN by God before the foundation of the world. I declare eighty-plus years of divine intentionality over my life.
The Father is running toward you holding the book He wrote about YOUR life before time began—every page intentional, every chapter planned with love. He's saying, 'You think you were unplanned? I've been planning THIS MOMENT—this revelation of your belovedness—since before galaxies existed.'
