"I was an accident, a mistake that wasn't supposed to happen. My existence wasn't planned or wanted."
How it sounds in your head: My parents' faces when they found out they were pregnant tells me everything. I've been an inconvenience from day one. Every struggle they've had, every fight, every financial stress—it's because I showed up when I wasn't supposed to.
"Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them."
-- Psalm 139:16Source: Enemy twisting circumstances to define identity, using world's definition of 'planned' to determine worth.
You've heard the stories—how young they were, how unprepared, maybe even heard 'we weren't planning on you' said out loud. The timeline doesn't lie: shotgun wedding, dropped-out semester, delayed dreams. The math adds up to 'mistake.'
Born from Abraham's impatience, not God's plan—a 'mistake' that caused family destruction. Yet God heard him crying in the wilderness, opened Hagar's eyes to water, and promised 'I will make him a great nation.' The 'accident' became a patriarch.
I REFUSE the lie that I am an accident or mistake. IT IS WRITTEN that God fashioned ALL my days before there was even ONE of them. My parents' timing may have been off, but GOD'S timing was PERFECT. IT IS WRITTEN that He works ALL things—including surprise pregnancies—together for good. I am not an inconvenience; I am an INTENTIONAL creation with the BARAK blessing of Abraham on my life. What the enemy meant to shame me with, God uses to prove His sovereignty. I am WANTED by Heaven, WRITTEN in His book, and CELEBRATED in eternity.
The Father saw you before the pregnancy test turned positive. He was already running toward your parents with grace for their shock, provision for their fear, and a plan that included YOU at the center—not the margins.
