"I should stop eating so much; I'm wasting resources at my age."
How it sounds in your head: They're spending money on food for someone who's about to die anyway. I should eat less, need less, take up less space. Every meal feels selfish when I'm this close to the end.
"Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?"
-- Matthew 6:26Enemy + scarcity mindset + religious 'deny yourself' twisted into self-hatred instead of Spirit-led surrender.
She's seen the grocery bills, heard whispers about costs, feels the guilt of dependence. Culture worships productivity—eating without 'contributing' feels like theft.
Elijah was suicidal, wanting to die, feeling done. God's response? An angel brought him CAKE and water—twice—then told him to eat because the journey was 'too much' for him. God fed the man who WANTED to die.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm wasting resources by eating at my age. IT IS WRITTEN: My Father feeds the birds who produce nothing, and I am of MORE VALUE than they. Food is not a reward for productivity; it's PROVISION from a Father who delights in nourishing His daughter. IT IS WRITTEN: The Lord will command the blessing on my storehouses (Deuteronomy 28:8)—that includes the food on my plate right now. The BARAK blessing covers my provision until my LAST breath. I eat without guilt, LOVED and FED by the Father.
The Father doesn't ration love or provision based on age or 'usefulness.' He's preparing the fattened calf, the feast, the ABUNDANCE—not because you earned it, but because you're His daughter.
