"I should start planning my funeral and saying goodbye—accepting death shows maturity and faith."
How it sounds in your head: Being realistic means facing facts. I'm 84 with stage 4 cancer. Wise people plan ahead. Maybe accepting death is actually faith, not denial. I should write my will, pick my casket, prepare my family. Fighting feels like denial.
"I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD."
-- Psalm 118:17World system + enemy confusing surrender to death with surrender to God; wisdom of man vs. faith.
Her generation values 'being practical' and 'not being a burden,' and everyone around her is suggesting hospice and funeral prep. Surrendering to medical predictions feels like wisdom, not agreement with the enemy.
Lazarus was so dead he'd been in the tomb FOUR DAYS and was decomposing—Martha said 'he stinks by now.' Everyone had mourned, said goodbye, moved on. Then Jesus showed up and said, 'Lazarus, come FORTH!' Instant resurrection. It's not too late until GOD says it's too late.
I REFUSE the lie that 'accepting death' is faith or wisdom. IT IS WRITTEN: 'I shall NOT die, but LIVE, and declare the works of the Lord.' I will NOT partner with the enemy's timeline by planning my exit while still breathing. Hezekiah fought a death sentence from God's own prophet and got 15 more years. Lazarus was DEAD and decomposing, and Jesus raised him. IT IS WRITTEN that with LONG life God satisfies me and shows me His salvation—I have not yet seen 'enough' of His salvation. I am under the barak blessing of Abraham, covenant protection that sustained him to 175 years. I am declaring LIFE, health, strength, and purpose in Jesus' name.
Your Father isn't asking you to surrender to death—He's asking you to surrender to HIM, the Resurrection and the Life. He raised Lazarus four days dead just to prove it's NEVER too late. He's not preparing your funeral; He's preparing your next chapter.
