"I should honor my parents by never speaking the truth about what they did."

Church culture and family systems have taught her that loyalty means silence, that naming abuse is disrespect, and that 'honoring' requires protecting the image rather than speaking truth.
Confronted King David directly about his adultery and murder, didn't protect the king's reputation or stay silent out of 'respect.' God SENT him to speak truth to power. Truth-telling was honoring to God even when it exposed the king's sin.
I REFUSE the lie that honoring parents requires silence about abuse. IT IS WRITTEN that the TRUTH makes me free—and speaking truth honors God more than protecting lies. Honor doesn't mean pretending abuse didn't happen. IT IS WRITTEN that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. I declare freedom to speak truth, name what was done, and walk in the light without shame.
The Father doesn't want you bound by secrets that protect abusers. He's whispering, 'Tell the truth. What they did in darkness, bring to light. Honoring Me means walking in truth, and I will vindicate you. Their reputation isn't your responsibility—your freedom IS.'
