"I should have sold when it was high. My stupidity cost us everything."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone told me to sell and I didn't listen. I thought I was so smart. Now I look like an idiot who can't make basic decisions. This is proof I'm not ready for adult responsibilities.
"Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."
-- Isaiah 43:18-19Enemy accusation: Hindsight condemnation and false responsibility for outcomes beyond your control.
Pre-teens are developing logical thinking and can see the 'what if' clearly, making hindsight torture. The self-blame feels like taking responsibility, which feels mature.
Abraham LIED about Sarah being his sister to protect himself, and God still plagued Pharaoh to defend Abraham the liar. Abraham left Egypt RICHER—with livestock, silver, and gold—despite his deception. The BARAK protected him even when he made terrible decisions.
I REFUSE the lie that one timing mistake defines my future or proves I'm incompetent. IT IS WRITTEN that God does not hold former things against me but does a NEW thing that springs forth NOW. Abraham made terrible decisions and still left richer because the blessing was covenant, not behavior. I walk in that same BARAK—blessed in my storehouses, blessed coming in and going out. My provision isn't based on perfect timing. IT IS WRITTEN: The Lord commands the blessing on everything I set my hand to.
Your Father isn't reviewing your sell date with disappointment. He's already planning the 'new thing' that springs forth, the road in your wilderness, the river in your desert—and it has nothing to do with your market timing.
