"I should have listened to everyone who said entrepreneurship was too risky. They were right."
How it sounds in your head: My parents, my teachers, my friends—they all warned me. 'Get a stable job,' 'Don't be foolish,' 'Entrepreneurship is for other people.' I thought I knew better and now I'm proving them right. I should have just done what everyone else does and played it safe.
"The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe."
-- Proverbs 29:25World's spirit of fear and conformity that punishes risk-taking, plus enemy's lie that failure proves you should have obeyed fear instead of faith.
The safe path looks really appealing when you're facing business debt and explaining failure. People who warned you now have stable paychecks while you're struggling, making their 'wisdom' look validated.
Peter stepped out of the boat onto water—the riskiest move anyone ever made—and started to SINK. Jesus didn't say 'You should have stayed in the boat like everyone else.' He caught him and they got back in TOGETHER. Peter was the only one who walked on water that day, even if briefly.
I REFUSE the lie that I should have played it safe or that everyone warning me was right. IT IS WRITTEN that the fear of man brings a snare, but trusting the Lord brings SAFETY. Safe isn't a job—safe is JESUS. I don't serve the god of security; I serve the God of ABUNDANCE. Abraham left Ur. Moses left Egypt. Peter left his nets. I am Abraham's seed—the BARAK blessing is on risk-takers and faith-walkers. IT IS WRITTEN: I am the head and not the tail. One failure doesn't mean retreat—it means RECALIBRATE. I receive fresh vision, new strategies, and bold faith. I'd rather fail walking on water than succeed sitting in the boat.
The Father isn't saying 'I told you to play it safe'—He's PROUD you tried when everyone else stayed in the boat, and He's RUNNING toward you with the next water-walking opportunity while those who 'played it safe' are still in the same boat wondering what could have been.
