"I should have known better. My stupidity with money proves I can't be trusted with provision."
How it sounds in your head: Smart men don't lose money like this. You thought you were being savvy but you were just greedy and foolish. God won't trust you with more because you've proven you're a poor steward. You need to sit in the consequences.
"But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more."
-- Romans 5:20Religious stewardship teaching that makes God's provision conditional on financial wisdom, rooted in 'faithful with little' taken out of grace context.
The losses are measurable proof of poor judgment. The 'faithful steward' sermons replay in your head, and logically, why would God give more to someone who mismanaged what they had?
Peter needed tax money and had none. Jesus didn't lecture him about budgeting or tell him to work extra shifts—He sent him to catch ONE FISH with the EXACT COIN needed in its mouth, instant provision with zero financial planning required.
I REFUSE the lie that God withholds provision because of my investment mistakes. IT IS WRITTEN that where my failures abound, His grace abounds MUCH MORE. I am not under probation or a financial timeout. The BARAK blessing on Abraham covered his LIES and still made him wealthy—how much more does the BETTER COVENANT cover my losses? IT IS WRITTEN there is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). I receive provision based on HIS FAITHFULNESS, not my financial track record. I am TRUSTED with the Kingdom because I am His son, period.
The Father isn't reviewing your investment history before releasing provision—He's already commanded the blessing on your storehouses (Deuteronomy 28:8). While you're rehearsing your mistakes, He's preparing your tax-fish-coin miracle. He trusts you because you're His, not because you're smart.
