"I should have invested in index funds like Dave Ramsey says. I disobeyed wisdom."
How it sounds in your head: All the financial gurus warned against risky investments. I thought I knew better than proven systems. I rebelled against wisdom and now I'm paying the price.
"Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ."
-- Colossians 2:8Religious spirit elevating human financial systems to biblical authority, creating false guilt.
Dave Ramsey's advice statistically works for most people, and she didn't follow it. The 'I told you so' voices are loud, making disobedience to financial principles feel like disobedience to God.
They didn't siege the city using proven military strategy. They walked in circles for seven days (which looked RIDICULOUS), shouted, and walls collapsed—instant access to wealth of the city without conventional warfare.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm suffering for disobeying Dave Ramsey. IT IS WRITTEN to beware of philosophies according to traditions of men, not according to Christ. Financial gurus are not my source; GOD is. IT IS WRITTEN that my God shall supply ALL my need according to HIS riches in glory—not according to my index fund balance. The Israelites didn't follow siege strategies; they walked in circles and got the city. Peter didn't budget for taxes; Jesus provided from a fish's mouth. I'm not under the curse of broken financial principles; I'm under the BARAK blessing of Abraham by covenant.
The Father isn't saying 'You should have listened to Dave Ramsey.' He's saying 'I'm not limited by investment strategies—I give manna from heaven, water from rocks, and coins from fish mouths.' His provision defies human systems.
