"I ruined my future by wasting what I was given already."
How it sounds in your head: I blew the money grandma gave me on stupid stuff. I lost the laptop they bought me. I can't be trusted with anything good, so I won't get anything good anymore.
"But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' And they began to be merry."
-- Luke 15:22-24Religion: Performance-based provision teaching that God gives based on stewardship record.
She made genuinely poor choices with money or gifts and now believes God operates like disappointed parents who withhold until she proves responsibility.
Demanded inheritance early, spent it ALL on wild living and prostitutes, ended up in a pig pen. The father RAN to him, restored EVERYTHING instantly—from total waste to total wealth in minutes.
I REFUSE the lie that I ruined my future by wasting what I had. IT IS WRITTEN that the prodigal wasted everything and the Father STILL restored him completely the moment he came home. My past financial mistakes do not determine my future provision. IT IS WRITTEN in Joel 2:25 that God will restore the years the locust has eaten. The Father isn't withholding from me—He's running toward me with the robe, the ring, and the blessing. The BARAK isn't based on my stewardship record; it's based on COVENANT. I am RESTORED, BLESSED, and TRUSTED.
The Father isn't making you earn back what you wasted. He's throwing a party for your return and handing you MORE than you lost because that's who He is—the God of restoration and abundance.
