"Family money destroyed everyone who touched it, so I can't have blessing without curse."
How it sounds in your head: You've watched inheritance ruin relationships, fuel addiction, or destroy lives. It feels safer to stay poor than risk the corruption that seems to follow family wealth.
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
-- Galatians 3:13-14The enemy creates false association between provision and destruction to keep you from receiving blessing.
You have actual evidence—family members whose lives fell apart after receiving money. The pattern is visible and feels like a package deal.
From a family line of dysfunction—deceiver father Isaac, manipulative mother Rebekah, murderous brother Esau. Yet God blessed him abundantly, saying "I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies and truth which You have shown Your servant; for I crossed over this Jordan with my staff, and now I have become two companies."
I REFUSE the lie that blessing and curse come as a package in my life. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ redeemed me FROM the curse so the blessing of Abraham could come UPON me. The cross SEPARATED blessing from curse—Jesus took curse, I get blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, in the city and in the field, and the Lord commands blessing on my storehouses. Money in my hands is under the BARAK covenant—blessed to be a blessing. I receive wealth without sorrow added to it.
Your Father isn't handing you a mixed bag—He already sorted it at the cross. Jesus took every curse, every destructive pattern, every generational dysfunction onto Himself so you could receive PURE blessing, unmixed and untainted.
