"I require too much patience and grace from others"
How it sounds in your head: I make the same mistakes, need the same reminders, struggle with the same things. People must be tired of extending grace to me.
"Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."
-- Lamentations 3:22-23Religious performance spirit measuring grace as a limited resource instead of infinite fountain.
You've watched people's patience wear thin, felt the frustration when you forget again, sensed the 'we've been over this' energy. Religion taught you grace has limits and you're approaching yours.
Peter denied Jesus three times after swearing he never would, cursing and swearing to distance himself from Christ. Days later, Jesus didn't make him grovel or prove himself—He restored him with breakfast on the beach and gave him the keys to lead the church, asking simply 'Do you love Me?'
I REFUSE the lie that I require too much grace. IT IS WRITTEN that His compassions FAIL NOT and are NEW EVERY MORNING—grace isn't rationed, it's INFINITE. I cannot use up what never runs out. IT IS WRITTEN that Peter denied Jesus three times with cursing and swearing, and Jesus restored him with breakfast and leadership over the church days later. My repeated struggles don't exhaust God's patience—they reveal the BARAK blessing of new mercies that greet me every sunrise.
The Father is running toward you saying, 'I'm not keeping score, daughter. Every morning I wake you with FRESH mercy, not yesterday's leftovers.' He's cooking breakfast on the beach like Jesus did for Peter—ready to restore, not rebuke.
