"I practiced witchcraft and now God won't let me die in peace."
How it sounds in your head: I'm terrified of what's on the other side. I messed with spells and dark arts, and now I wonder if dying means facing judgment for inviting evil in. Will demons be waiting?
"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love."
-- 1 John 4:18Religious teaching that past sin creates present separation from God's peace.
He feels spiritual unrest and assumes it's punishment rather than the enemy's final attempt at torment. His declining mind replays old fears in vivid detail.
He practiced witchcraft, sorcery, consulted mediums, sacrificed his own sons in fire, and filled Jerusalem with innocent blood. Yet when he humbled himself, God HEARD him and brought him back to Jerusalem—complete restoration despite horrific occult involvement.
I REFUSE the lie that my witchcraft past disqualifies me from peaceful death. IT IS WRITTEN that perfect love casts out fear and fear involves torment. The torment I feel is the enemy's lie, not God's judgment. Manasseh practiced sorcery, burned his children, consulted mediums—yet God restored him completely. IT IS WRITTEN there is NOW no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. I will die in peace because Jesus already paid for every spell, every incantation, every dark practice. The Father is running toward me with the robe and ring, not turning away in disgust.
The Father sees you through the blood of Jesus, not through the smoke of old rituals. He's preparing a peaceful homecoming, not a courtroom, and your final breath will be INTO His arms, not away from them.
