"I have to renounce every specific occult thing I did or demons still have rights."
How it sounds in your head: I've been taught I need to make a detailed list of every occult thing I ever touched - every tarot reading, every crystal, every spell - and renounce them one by one or I'll have gaps in my freedom. I'm terrified I'll forget something and leave a door open.
"Then He adds, 'Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.' Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin."
-- Hebrews 10:17-18Religion: Legalistic deliverance models that make freedom dependent on human memory and perfect performance instead of the sufficiency of Jesus' blood.
She's heard teachings on 'closing legal loopholes' that sound biblical but are actually works-based. She's in a developmental stage where she takes instructions literally and fears missing a step. The enemy exploits her desire to 'do it right' by making freedom a checklist she can never complete perfectly.
A criminal, possibly involved in violence and rebellion his whole life, spoke ONE sentence of faith while DYING. Jesus said 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise.' No renunciation list. No detailed confession. No deliverance session. Instant salvation, instant freedom.
I REFUSE the lie that I must remember and renounce every occult detail for freedom. IT IS WRITTEN that God remembers my sins NO MORE - if He doesn't remember them, demons have NO RIGHTS. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus' ONE sacrifice perfected me FOREVER. I am not dependent on my memory. I am dependent on His BLOOD. Every occult thing I touched, remembered or forgotten, is COVERED. I don't need a perfect list. I need a perfect SAVIOR - and I have one. I am completely free RIGHT NOW, not because I did deliverance perfectly, but because Jesus did the CROSS perfectly.
The Father isn't waiting for you to remember every detail so He can check off a list. He threw the list in the sea of forgetfulness the moment you came to Him. You're not working toward freedom - you're LIVING IN IT, even if you can't remember every step that got you here.
