"I renounced Christ during occult initiation and committed the unforgivable sin"
How it sounds in your head: They made me say 'I renounce Jesus Christ' to be initiated. I said the words. Out loud. I blasphemed the Holy Spirit. That's the ONE sin Jesus said is unforgivable. I didn't just dabble; I explicitly REJECTED Him with my mouth. I'm reading this now AFTER the unforgivable sin. It's too late.
"although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief."
-- 1 Timothy 1:13Source: Misunderstanding of Matthew 12:31-32 (blasphemy of Spirit = attributing Jesus' work to Satan, not renunciation under duress) - creates permanent terror instead of gospel hope.
You literally said the words 'I renounce Jesus Christ' and Jesus specifically said there's ONE unforgivable sin. The terror feels righteous because the words were THAT specific and THAT blasphemous.
Saul was 'breathing threats and murder against the disciples' - actively blaspheming Christ while persecuting His church. One encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus and INSTANTLY he's blinded, converted, and three days later baptized and preaching CHRIST. No waiting period, no probation for his blasphemy, just IMMEDIATE apostleship.
I REFUSE the lie that renunciation during occult initiation was the unforgivable sin. IT IS WRITTEN that Paul was a BLASPHEMER and obtained MERCY. If the chief persecutor got mercy, so do I. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus - not 'no condemnation except for that one time you renounced Me under pressure.' The fact that I'm concerned about this proves the Spirit is ALIVE in me - those who commit the unforgivable sin DON'T CARE. I care because He's MINE and I'm HIS. The BARAK blessing protected Peter who DENIED Jesus THREE TIMES. My coerced renunciation doesn't override the blood. I am forgiven, sealed, and KEPT by His power. The enemy has NO claim.
Your Father heard those words of renunciation and didn't flinch. He knows the difference between a coerced oath and a hardened heart. He's not holding it against you; He's calling you BELOVED and declaring you FORGIVEN - completely, immediately, permanently.
