"I participated in yoga and meditation that honored false gods and opened myself to deception."
How it sounds in your head: It was just exercise, just stress relief. But then you learned about the Hindu roots, the chakras, the 'namaste' meaning 'the god in me honors the god in you.' You unknowingly bowed to false gods. You opened your mind through meditation and let who-knows-what in. Now you can't trust your thoughts. You've been deceived and don't even know what's you and what's demonic influence.
"For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control."
-- 2 Timothy 1:7Religion—creates fear around practices rather than confidence in Christ's authority
She genuinely didn't know the origins when she started. Now she's been told she 'agreed' with false worship, that meditation opened her mind to 'familiar spirits,' that her spiritual discernment is compromised. She DOES have intrusive thoughts and wonders if they're demonic. The fear of deception becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy—she can't trust herself.
Cornelius was a Roman centurion—he participated in Roman religious rituals, honored Caesar as a god, performed pagan rites as part of military duty. God called him 'devout and God-fearing' and sent Peter to him. His pagan participation didn't disqualify him. His present heart mattered more than his past practices.
I REFUSE the lie that yoga and meditation opened me to permanent deception. IT IS WRITTEN that God gave me a spirit of POWER, LOVE, and a SOUND MIND—not fear or confusion. I didn't know then what I know now, and the Father judges HEARTS, not ignorance. IT IS WRITTEN that I have the MIND OF CHRIST. No practice I participated in unknowingly has authority over the One who DWELLS IN ME. I am a BRANCH on the VINE—His truth flows through me, correcting every lie. I walk in the BARAK blessing where NO weapon formed against me shall prosper. My mind is not compromised. It is CHRIST-OCCUPIED.
The Father sees you like Cornelius—not contaminated by past religious practices but CELEBRATED for your present devotion. One revelation of truth erases years of ignorant participation. He's not measuring what you didn't know; He's rejoicing over what you KNOW NOW, and He's the one who revealed it.
