"I opened spiritual doors through yoga, meditation, or eastern practices that cursed my mind and body."
How it sounds in your head: You just wanted to feel peaceful, stretch, maybe manage anxiety. You didn't know the roots were Hindu or Buddhist. Now someone told you that you opened yourself to eastern spirits, that kundalini awakened something demonic, that your third eye opening was actually demonic access. Every meditation app, every yoga class—was it all a gateway? You wonder if your mental health struggles or physical symptoms are actually spiritual consequences.
"Therefore concerning the eating of things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one. For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords), yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live."
-- 1 Corinthians 8:4-6Religion: fear-mongers about cultural practices instead of teaching about the supremacy of Christ over all spirits.
You've heard testimonies of people who got demonized through yoga or transcendental meditation. Some Christian leaders say any practice rooted in other religions carries spirits. Your anxiety or depression that persists feels like evidence that you invited something in that's now wreaking havoc.
Daniel was trained for three years in all the literature, language, and wisdom of the Chaldeans—astrology, sorcery, divination, and occult practices of Babylon. He ate the king's food, learned pagan sciences, was immersed in occult culture daily—yet God gave him knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom, and he had understanding in all visions and dreams, ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers.
I REFUSE the lie that yoga, meditation, or eastern practices cursed my mind and body. IT IS WRITTEN: 1 Corinthians 8:4-6—an idol is NOTHING in the world, and there is no other God but one. The postures I practiced, the breathing I learned, the mindfulness I explored—none of it has power to override the blood of Jesus. IT IS WRITTEN: Romans 8:38-39—neither height nor depth, nor any other created thing shall separate me from the love of God in Christ Jesus. No mantra, no chakra, no kundalini energy has authority over me. I am sealed, protected, and completely free under the BARAK blessing. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, not a haunted house.
The Father isn't condemning you for trying to find peace through stretching or breathing—He's inviting you to find TRUE peace in Him, and nothing you explored in ignorance can disqualify you from His presence. He's not afraid of your search; He's the answer you were looking for all along.
