"I never accomplished anything significant and I never will—I'm just ordinary and forgettable."
How it sounds in your head: I look at my life and there's no impressive resume, no big achievements, nothing that will be remembered. I was just a wife, just a mom, just worked a regular job. Nothing special. Nothing that mattered in the big picture.
"But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are."
-- 1 Corinthians 1:27-28Source: World's lie that significance equals visibility and platform, discounting hidden faithfulness.
She compares herself to women with careers that made headlines or ministries with thousands. Her life looks small by comparison—no stage, no spotlight, no legacy anyone will talk about.
No name recorded, gave the smallest possible offering, nobody noticed but Jesus. He stopped everything to highlight her—said she gave MORE than all the rich people and her story is in Scripture forever while their names are forgotten.
I REFUSE the lie that significance requires visibility or impressive achievements. IT IS WRITTEN that God CHOSE what the world calls ordinary to put to shame the mighty. My faithfulness in small things matters MORE to Him than the world's applause. IT IS WRITTEN that the last shall be first and the first last—heaven's economy is upside down from earth's. I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing isn't measured by platform size. The Father immortalized a nameless widow's two cents while forgetting the rich—He's celebrating my hidden faithfulness right now.
The Father isn't checking your LinkedIn profile—He's recording every hidden act of love you thought nobody noticed. What looked small to you looked MASSIVE to Him, and heaven is keeping a different scoreboard.
