"I need to sacrifice my health and sanity to prove I'm serious about God."
How it sounds in your head: Paul said present your body as a living sacrifice. You're barely sacrificing anything. You have time for Netflix but not for one more Bible study? You sleep eight hours when missionaries are in the field 24/7? Your comfort isn't more important than the Kingdom.
"Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."

She's been taught that the Gospel costs everything and holding back feels lukewarm. Protecting her health feels less spiritual than pushing through pain.
David said "I will not offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God with that which costs me nothing," but he was talking about FINANCIAL cost, not physical destruction. God never asked him to burn himself out - He asked for obedience, not obliteration.
I REFUSE the lie that I must destroy my health to prove devotion. IT IS WRITTEN that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit - God doesn't ask me to demolish His temple to earn His favor. I honor the body He gave me as an act of WORSHIP, not selfishness. The BARAK blessing covers my whole life - spirit, soul, AND body - and God's plan includes health, not just hustle. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus came to give LIFE abundantly, not barely surviving on fumes. I reject the martyrdom complex and embrace sustainable, grace-fueled devotion that lasts decades, not months.
The Father doesn't want your corpse on the altar of ministry. He wants your company at the table. He's not asking "How much can you take?" He's asking "Will you let Me carry what's too heavy for you?" The yoke is easy, the burden is light - if it's crushing you, it's not from Him.
