"I need to prove I can be faithful with little before God trusts me with more."
How it sounds in your head: Luke 16:10—faithful in little, faithful in much. You haven't proven yourself yet. God's testing you. Once you pass the small stuff, maybe then He'll release the big stuff.
"For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ."
-- Romans 5:17Religion: twists a stewardship principle into a performance requirement, making breakthrough conditional on proving yourself.
The verse IS in the Bible. You've heard it preached as a requirement. It sounds responsible and humble to think God needs to see your faithfulness first.
Zero time to prove himself. No opportunity to be faithful in little. Dying next to Jesus, made one declaration of faith. Jesus: 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise.' No probation. No proving period. INSTANT Paradise based on grace alone.
I REFUSE the lie that I must prove myself before God provides. IT IS WRITTEN that I RECEIVE abundance of grace as a GIFT, not a graduation. The thief on the cross got Paradise with zero proving. The prodigal got the ring while still smelling like pigs. God's provision flows from HIS NATURE, not my performance. IT IS WRITTEN the BARAK blessing made Abraham's household wealthy BEFORE Abraham did anything right—he was blessed leaving Egypt as a LIAR. I don't earn it. I RECEIVE it. Abundance flows NOW.
The Father doesn't put returning sons on probation. The ring came BEFORE the proof. The robe came BEFORE the reformation. The party came BEFORE the performance. He's not waiting for you to prove anything—He's waiting for you to RECEIVE everything.
