"God's more concerned with my character than my comfort, so He's keeping me in lack to build me."
How it sounds in your head: Suffering builds character. Romans 5:3. God's using this financial pressure to mature you. Comfort would make you soft. He loves you too much to give you ease.
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
-- 3 John 1:2Religion: makes God the author of suffering and poverty the curriculum for holiness.
Pressure HAS revealed things in you. You've grown through hardship. The theology sounds noble and you've heard it from respected teachers.
Lost everything—wealth, children, health. Friends said he deserved it. God rebuked the friends and RESTORED Job. Gave him DOUBLE what he lost—14,000 sheep became 28,000. God wasn't the author of the loss; He was the source of DOUBLE RESTORATION. Job's end was more blessed than his beginning.
I REFUSE the lie that God keeps me in lack to build my character. IT IS WRITTEN that it's His will I PROSPER in all things—prosperity and health together. Grace is my teacher, not poverty. Job's story ended with DOUBLE, not continued suffering for maturity. IT IS WRITTEN the BARAK blessing makes me the HEAD not the TAIL, ABOVE ONLY and not beneath. Poverty isn't God's classroom. His kindness leads to repentance. I receive PROSPERITY and HEALTH together, NOW.
The Father who ran to the prodigal didn't make him sleep in the pig pen longer to 'build character.' He brought him HOME to abundance. Character develops in the GOODNESS of God, not the lack of resources. The fattened calf was ready—has been ready.
