"I need to be the perfect kid now to keep everything from falling apart more"
How it sounds in your head: Mom is barely holding it together. If I add any problems, she'll break. I can't be a normal teenager—I have to be easy, helpful, invisible when needed. My needs feel dangerous right now.
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
-- Matthew 11:28Trauma response making her responsible for adult stability, forcing premature maturity and self-erasure.
She's reading real stress in her parent and interpreting her own needs as burdens that could tip fragile balance.
The child died. The mother laid him on the prophet's bed and went for help. When Elisha arrived, he raised the boy INSTANTLY from death—she didn't have to keep him alive through perfect behavior; supernatural intervention brought life where death had taken over.
I REFUSE the lie that I must be perfect to keep my family stable. IT IS WRITTEN to come to Jesus with heavy burdens—He gives rest, not more responsibility. I am a daughter, not a foundation. IT IS WRITTEN that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. My family's stability is not my job. The Father carries what I cannot. The BARAK blessing includes supernatural peace in my home. I can be 14, have needs, and rest in His provision.
The Father isn't asking you to hold everything together—He's inviting you to lay the impossible burden down and let HIM be the stabilizer while you just get to be His kid.
