"I need to accept this pain and stop fighting it. Acceptance is healing."
How it sounds in your head: All the spiritual books say to 'make peace' with your pain. Fighting it only makes it worse. Maybe true healing is learning to live with it gracefully. Surrender to what is. Stop resisting. This is your journey to acceptance and mindfulness.
"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
-- Luke 10:19World philosophy: Eastern mindfulness mixed with Western therapeutic 'radical acceptance' that contradicts biblical authority over sickness.
Exhaustion from fighting makes surrender sound spiritual. Therapeutic culture frames acceptance as maturity and resistance as denial, creating guilt for wanting healing.
Blind beggar everyone told to be quiet and accept his place, religious crowd said stop bothering the Master. He refused to accept blindness as his identity and cried out LOUDER until Jesus stopped. Jesus didn't say 'find peace with blindness'; He said 'What do you want?' and IMMEDIATELY gave him sight.
I REFUSE the lie that I must accept pain as my portion. IT IS WRITTEN that I have authority over all the power of the enemy, and sickness is the enemy's work, not God's gift to accept. Jesus didn't come that I might have pain management and have it mindfully; He came that I might have LIFE and have it ABUNDANTLY. I do not surrender to sickness; I resist the devil and he FLEES. IT IS WRITTEN in James 4:7 that when I resist, he runs. I am covered by the BARAK covenant blessing—the same blessing that made Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob prosper even in their failures. I don't make peace with the curse; I enforce the victory of the cross. Pain is under my feet, not over my head.
The Father isn't asking you to spiritually mature into acceptance of suffering. He's the one who said 'with His stripes you ARE healed'—present tense, done deal. He's running toward you with healing, not a mindfulness workbook.
