"I need to accept this as God's will for my life and stop hoping for change"
How it sounds in your head: Maybe you should stop praying for healing. Maybe this is just God's plan and you're being ungrateful by wanting something different. Maybe hoping for change means you don't trust Him. Just accept it and move on.
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
-- 3 John 1:2Religion teaching passivity as faith and calling surrender to sickness 'God's will'
Tired of hoping and being disappointed, religious voices suggest acceptance equals maturity and faith. Continued desire for healing feels like fighting God instead of trusting Him.
Bent over for 18 YEARS, unable to stand straight. Religious leaders said she should just accept it. Jesus called her forward, laid hands on her, and IMMEDIATELY she was made straight. He called her 'daughter of Abraham' and said she OUGHT to be loosed.
I REFUSE the lie that I should stop hoping for change. IT IS WRITTEN that God's will is for me to prosper and be in HEALTH. Jesus healed EVERY person—sickness is not His will, WHOLENESS is. I am a daughter of Abraham, and Jesus said I OUGHT to be loosed. IT IS WRITTEN in Jeremiah 29:11 that God's plans for me are for GOOD, to give me a future and hope. I don't surrender to disability—I surrender to HIS GOODNESS. I receive the BARAK blessing that declares I am blessed in my body, whole and complete. I can hope for healing without shame because Heaven is ALREADY whole.
Father isn't asking you to give up hope. He's the One who GAVE you hope. Your desire for wholeness isn't rebellion—it's the echo of Eden, the memory of how things are supposed to be. Keep hoping. Keep asking. He's not offended. He's MOVED by your faith.
