"I need an adult or pastor to fight spiritual battles for me."
How it sounds in your head: When weird or scary things happen, your first thought is to get your parents or church leaders involved because they have more authority than you. You can't handle this alone—you need someone more spiritual to pray.
"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."
-- Hebrews 4:16Religious hierarchy lie that creates spiritual dependence on human leaders instead of direct access to God through Christ.
Adults do have more experience and knowledge. When your parents pray, things seem more powerful. Pastors are trained in this stuff and you're not.
Samuel was just a boy serving in the temple when God spoke directly to him instead of to Eli the experienced priest. God bypassed the adult leader and spoke to the CHILD, giving him authority to deliver hard messages even to his mentor.
I REFUSE the lie that I need someone else to fight for me. IT IS WRITTEN that I can come BOLDLY to the throne of grace. I have direct access to the Father through Jesus—no human mediator required. IT IS WRITTEN that I have authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over ALL the power of the enemy. My authority comes from Christ, not from age or position. I am under the BARAK blessing as Abraham's seed—the same blessing that protected Abraham when he messed up protects me. God speaks to me directly just like He spoke to young Samuel.
The Father isn't hiding behind pastors and parents waiting for you to get older. He tore the veil from top to bottom so YOU could run straight into His throne room RIGHT NOW with total confidence.
