"I must have secret sin blocking my prayers from reaching God's throne room."
How it sounds in your head: I've prayed and prayed but nothing changes. Maybe there's something wrong I don't even know about - some hidden sin creating a barrier between me and God. He won't answer until I find it and fix it.
"Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water."
-- Hebrews 10:19-22Religion teaching that sin creates separation post-cross, denying the finished work of Christ's blood.
Old Testament stories show God rejecting prayers because of sin, and religious teaching emphasizes confession before breakthrough. When prayers go unanswered, scanning for hidden sin feels like the logical next step.
Manasseh sacrificed his own SONS to demons, filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and led Israel into abominations worse than pagan nations. When captured and desperate, he prayed - and God IMMEDIATELY heard him, brought him back to Jerusalem, and restored his kingdom despite horrific sin.
I REFUSE the lie that my sin blocks God's ears. IT IS WRITTEN that I have BOLDNESS to enter the Holiest by Jesus' blood - not by my perfection. The blood of Christ cleanses me from ALL unrighteousness, even sins I don't remember or recognize. I am under the BARAK covenant where Abraham lied TWICE and left richer, Jacob deceived and stayed blessed, Judah committed incest and remained in the Messianic line. IT IS WRITTEN there is NO condemnation for me in Christ Jesus - the veil is TORN and nothing separates me from my Father. My access is based on HIS righteousness gifted to me, not my performance.
The Father isn't scanning your life for hidden disqualifications - He's running toward you with the robe and ring while you still smell like pig pens. The blood covers what you can't remember, and His love isn't conditional on your sin-detection skills.
