"I must have done something to cause this; my body is paying the price"
How it sounds in your head: Did I eat the wrong things? Not exercise enough? Stress too much during finals? My body is punishing me for every late night, every skipped meal, every poor choice. This is karma in biological form.
"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."
-- Romans 8:1Enemy twisting reaping/sowing into biological karma to create false guilt and self-condemnation
Every wellness article talks about lifestyle causing disease. Her mom mentioned she 'should have taken better care of herself.' The cause-effect seems logical: bad inputs equal bad outputs. Taking responsibility feels mature.
Invalid for 38 YEARS - longer than most people's entire lifespan then. Jesus didn't interview him about what caused it or make him prove he'd learned better habits. He simply said, 'Rise, take up your bed and walk,' and IMMEDIATELY the man was made well. No rehab, no lifestyle seminar, instant wholeness.
I REFUSE the lie that my body is punishing me or that I earned this sickness through imperfect choices. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NOW no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus - not biological condemnation, not karmic payback, NONE. I am not under the curse of cause-and-effect; I am under the BLESSING of Abraham by covenant. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ redeemed me from the curse, and sickness IS the curse. Even if I ate pizza every day and never slept, the blood of Jesus covers imperfect self-care just like it covers every other imperfection. The BARAK protected Abraham when he LIED TWICE - it surely covers my late-night study snacks. I am a branch in the Vine, righteous by GIFT, and healing flows from WHO I AM, not what I did.
The Father isn't keeping a ledger of your kale intake versus your coffee consumption. While you were Googling 'foods that cause cancer,' He was running toward you with the robe of righteousness that declares you WHOLE regardless of your meal plan. He's throwing a healing party, not a nutrition seminar.
