"I missed God's plan so now I'm stuck with financial consequences."
How it sounds in your head: I should've picked that other school, that other major, that scholarship I didn't apply for. I made the wrong choice and now I'm paying for it—literally. God had a path and I blew it. Now I'm in plan B with plan A's debt.
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."
-- Romans 8:28Source: Religious teaching that God has ONE fragile plan, easily derailed by your choices, leaving you in permanent consequence.
She can trace current struggles back to specific decisions—choosing the expensive school, the major that didn't pan out. The debt is REAL and feels like evidence of a blown chance.
Directly DISOBEYED God's clear instruction, ran the opposite direction, got thrown off a boat and swallowed by a fish. God didn't say 'you blew it, plan B now.' He gave him a SECOND CHANCE with the SAME ASSIGNMENT and it worked even better—whole city repented.
I REFUSE the lie that my past decisions disqualified my future provision. IT IS WRITTEN that ALL THINGS work together for good—not all perfect things, ALL things. Even my 'wrong turns' are being directed by the Lord who orders my steps. IT IS WRITTEN in Joel 2:25 - 'I will restore to you the years the locusts have eaten.' God doesn't do plan B—He redeems plan A even when I thought I wrecked it. The BARAK blessing isn't based on my perfect choices. Jonah RAN FROM GOD and still got a second chance with the same assignment. I am not stuck. I am REDEEMED.
While you're replaying every 'wrong choice' like a blooper reel, Father is working ALL of it—even the mess—into something good. He's not scrambling for plan B. He's weaving plan A out of materials you thought were scraps.
