"I matter less now because I can't contribute or produce like I used to."
How it sounds in your head: You were the provider, the fixer, the one people called. Now you can't even open a jar. You're not contributing—you're consuming. Taking up space. Becoming the burden you swore you'd never be.
"Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts."
-- Zechariah 4:6World system worship of productivity and enemy attack on identity when performance declines.
You literally cannot do things you once did effortlessly. Others now do for you what you used to do for them. The role reversal is daily and humiliating.
At age 85, when others were retiring, he said 'Give me this MOUNTAIN—I'm as strong today as I was at 40.' God gave him the most difficult territory and he took it. Age was irrelevant to his assignment.
I REFUSE the lie that my worth is tied to my productivity. IT IS WRITTEN that it's not by might or power but by God's Spirit. I am a branch connected to the Vine—my job is to ABIDE, not produce. The BARAK blessing over my life has nothing to do with what I can do and everything to do with whose I am. IT IS WRITTEN that I am the righteousness of God in Christ—that's my identity, not my output. Moses was 80 when his real assignment began.
The Father isn't measuring your output—He's enjoying your presence. You're not a worker to Him; you're a son. He ran to the prodigal who had produced NOTHING but shame and threw a party just because he came home.
