"I loaned money I needed and the person didn't repay me; I'm suffering because I was foolish."
How it sounds in your head: She promised she'd pay me back and didn't. I needed that money and was stupid to loan it. Now I'm short and she's posting vacation photos. I should have known better. God probably let this happen to teach me not to be naive with money.
"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."
-- Luke 6:38Religion's teaching that God engineers painful lessons, making Him the author of suffering to correct your judgment.
The financial pain is real, the person really didn't repay, and she genuinely needs that money. Every practical voice says she should have protected herself, and the consequence feels like proof of her foolishness.
She gave her LAST two coins, everything she had to live on, to the temple. Immediately after (contextually), we see widows in Scripture entering supernatural provision—oil that never ran out, flour that multiplied daily.
I REFUSE the lie that my generosity made me a victim. IT IS WRITTEN that when I give, it SHALL be given back pressed down, shaken together, and running over. My loan wasn't foolishness—it was seed sown into the Kingdom, and my Father is a BETTER debtor than any person. IT IS WRITTEN that whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and He rewards. I didn't lose money; I repositioned it from earth's economy to heaven's, and my return comes with INTEREST from the God who owns cattle on a thousand hills. The BARAK blessing includes God fighting for me—He plagued kings who wronged Abraham. I declare supernatural repayment, unexpected provision, and my Father commanding blessing on my storehouses because I'm Abraham's seed and heirs according to PROMISE. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and my generosity isn't punished—it's MULTIPLIED.
Your Father saw that loan as SEED, not stupidity. While she's on vacation, He's preparing your harvest—pressed down, shaken together, running over. He's not teaching you to be stingy; He's about to teach you that generosity under covenant always results in overflow.
