"I have to find the perfect church or I'm settling for less than God's best."
How it sounds in your head: This church is too contemporary. That one's too traditional. This one's worship is shallow. That one's preaching is boring. Maybe if I keep visiting, I'll find the one that checks all the boxes and feels like home. Until then, I'm just floating.
"But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be? But now indeed there are many members, yet one body."

She's visited seventeen churches in six months. Each one has something wrong—the music, the preaching style, the coffee, the people her age. Social media shows her everyone else's 'perfect church' experience, and hers feels lacking.
Ruth committed to Naomi and her people even though they were broken, bitter, and had nothing to offer her—no husband, no wealth, no impressive ministry. Her commitment to imperfect people led her directly into the lineage of Christ instantly when she simply showed up and gleaned in Boaz's field.
I REFUSE the lie that I need a perfect church to encounter a perfect God. IT IS WRITTEN that God places members in the body as He pleases, and my placement is His decision, not my preference list. I am not a consumer—I am family. IT IS WRITTEN that where two or three are gathered, He is there, not where the production value is high and the theology is flawless. The BARAK blessing follows ME because it's covenant, not location. I am blessed in the city and in the field, in the contemporary service and the traditional one, because the blessing is in CHRIST, not in the building.
Your Father isn't waiting for you to find the four-star-reviewed church with the perfect programs before He shows up in your life. He's in the messy, broken, imperfect gatherings where people actually love each other, and He's inviting you to stop shopping and start belonging.
